Parish Council
The purpose of the Parish Council is to assist the priest and facilitate the participation of all parishioners in the life of the Church. The specific task of the council is to initiate, coordinate and promote the work and growth of the parish in four areas:
- Christian formation
- Social and community affairs
- Buildings and maintenance
- Finance
The Parish Council is overseen by the priest in charge, supported by a chair person and secretary who are members of the council. Parish council members will be taken from a selection of nominations from parishioners. The council will meet on a regular basis, usually every two months, and each year there will be an annual general meeting (AGM) for all parishioners to attend.
